Ramgarh: A series of explosions at a steel factory in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district on Sunday morning caused widespread panic. At ‘Shivay Iron and Steel Private Limited,’ located in Mayal village under the Rajrappa police station area, three to four powerful explosions occurred in quick succession. The sound of the blasts could be heard several kilometers away, sparking fear among residents of the surrounding villages.
According to reports, the incident took place around 7:00 AM on Sunday. While routine operations were underway, powerful explosions suddenly began occurring within the factory’s furnace. Three to four blasts took place in rapid succession. The intensity of the explosions left nearby villagers shaken, and the incident triggered chaos within the factory premises.
Alerted by the loud blasts, residents from neighboring villages rushed out of their homes. Initially, people were unsure of the source of the deafening noise, but upon learning that explosions had occurred at the factory, concern grew. Reports indicate that the sound of the blasts was audible even several kilometers away.
Fears of worker injuries
It is feared that some workers present at the site may have sustained injuries during the explosions in the furnace.
