Pakistani Airstrikes Inside Afghanistan Kill 13, Including 11 Children

World News : Tensions along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan have escalated once again after Pakistani military aircraft allegedly crossed into Afghan airspace and carried out airstrikes in border regions.

According to Afghan officials, Pakistani fighter jets targeted residential areas in the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika, resulting in significant civilian casualties and property damage.

13 Civilians Reportedly Killed

In a statement issued by Afghan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, the attack was described as a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty.

According to Afghan authorities, 13 people were killed in the airstrikes, including:

  • 11 children
  • 1 woman
  • 1 elderly man

An additional 14 people were reportedly injured, including several women and children. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals, and some are said to be in critical condition.

Residential Areas Hit

Afghan officials stated that civilian homes were directly targeted during the bombardment, with several houses reportedly destroyed. Images circulating on social media after the attack allegedly show the aftermath of the strikes and the condition of affected children and families.

Afghanistan Condemns the Attack

The Afghan government strongly condemned the airstrikes, calling them an inhumane act and a violation of international norms.

In his statement, Zabihullah Mujahid said:

“We strongly condemn this inhumane crime and attack in the strongest possible terms.”

Afghan authorities described the strikes as a cruel attack against civilians and urged the international community to take note of the incident.

The reported attack is likely to further strain already tense relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan along their shared border.
