The foremost demand was the immediate recovery of ₹1.40 lakh crore in pending coal royalties from coal companies operating in the state. CM Soren emphasized that this outstanding amount is crucial for Jharkhand’s financial stability and long-term development.
Among the key social welfare proposals, the Chief Minister introduced the ‘Mayiyan Samman Yojana’, under which women aged 18 to 50 years would receive a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500. He said this scheme would empower women economically and promote gender equity in the state.
CM Soren also reiterated the state’s longstanding demand for the establishment of a Tribal University, aimed at preserving tribal heritage and enhancing educational opportunities for tribal youth. Another important demand was the speedy implementation of the Ranchi Metro Rail Project, which he said would significantly improve urban mobility and reduce congestion in the capital city.
Highlighting the need to boost rural and tourism development, the CM requested central assistance in creating infrastructure and generating local employment. He also advocated for strengthening the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector to provide job opportunities to the youth and empower village economies.
Soren emphasized the need for reforming the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) policy to ensure transparency and prioritize local residents in development efforts. He further sought central support in upgrading the state’s education and healthcare infrastructure to improve quality of life in remote and underserved regions.
Concluding his remarks, CM Soren said these demands are not just political pitches but necessary steps toward securing the rights and future of the people of Jharkhand.
