Jharkhand News : Former Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad has strongly condemned the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at her residence, terming it a politically motivated act. According to Amba, the ED team left empty-handed after barely an hour of search, despite spending over six hours at the premises. She alleged that the raid was orchestrated due to her growing political involvement at the national level.

In a tweet posted during the raid, Amba stated that her recent appointment to the All India Congress Committee’s OBC Advisory Council and her active participation in Bihar and Bengal political campaigns have rattled opposition forces. She claimed that the raid was an attempt to exert pressure and malign her image.
“The ED’s operation lasted only an hour, and for the remaining five hours, the officials simply sat waiting. Eventually, they left without finding anything,” she said, adding that a similar raid had been conducted earlier during election time, which had also yielded nothing.
Meanwhile, her father and senior Congress leader, Yogendra Sahu, has emerged at the center of a land dispute involving NTPC in Keredari. Sahu, a vocal opponent of illegal land acquisition, has stalled the company’s ongoing project expansion, claiming that NTPC is trying to encroach on local land without proper acquisition or government-issued gazette notification.
He stated, “Until I see the official acquisition gazette, no work will be allowed in that area.” Sahu has been a prominent voice against the NTPC project ever since its inception, and his opposition now appears to have reignited tensions with the administration.
Amba Prasad also addressed allegations linking her and her family to RKTC, a company reportedly under investigation. She dismissed these claims as false and politically motivated. “Neither I nor my family have any association with RKTC. People are trying to link us deliberately to create confusion. Even individuals like Sanjeev Sahu, Manoj Dangi, and Pancham have betrayed me during elections. I have no contact with them anymore,” she clarified.
The developments have stirred political debate in Jharkhand, with Amba Prasad and her supporters alleging misuse of central agencies to suppress opposition voices.
